The challenge
Where they started
Each store had been cabled by a different contractor over fifteen years. Configurations drifted, nobody held accurate records, and point-of-sale outages were becoming frequent enough to affect trading hours.
What we did
The approach
- Surveyed every site and produced a single reference design covering cabinet layout, cabling, switching and failover connectivity.
- Standardised the bill of materials so every location received identical hardware and configuration templates.
- Ran a rolling deployment of three to four stores per week, scheduled outside trading hours to avoid lost sales.
- Certified all copper and fibre runs and captured photographic as-built records for each site.
