Infrastructure Services

The foundation layer, engineered and documented properly.

Abasyz designs, supplies, installs and maintains the physical and virtual infrastructure your business runs on — servers, storage, networking, virtualisation, backup and the data centre space around them.

Service overview

What Infrastructure Services covers

Abasyz designs, supplies, installs and maintains the physical and virtual infrastructure your business runs on — servers, storage, networking, virtualisation, backup and the data centre space around them.

We cover the full lifecycle: capacity and resilience design up front, clean installation and commissioning, complete as-built documentation on handover, and ongoing support or lifecycle replacement afterwards. Nothing is left undocumented and nothing is left dependent on one engineer's memory.

Problems it solves

The situations that bring clients to us

If any of these sound familiar, this service was designed for exactly that.

  • Hardware past end of support

Critical systems run on kit the manufacturer no longer patches, and replacement parts are sourced from the second-hand market.

  • Networks nobody has mapped

No current diagram exists, VLANs and firewall rules have accumulated over years, and every change carries unknown blast radius.

  • Single points of failure

Resilience was designed for a smaller business and never revisited as the estate and its dependencies grew.

  • Recovery that has never been tested

Backups complete successfully every night, but no one has proven how long a full restore would actually take.

Features and included services

What is included

Every item below is part of the standard scope, written into your agreement before work begins.

  • Server and storage deployment

Specification, procurement, racking, configuration and commissioning of physical and virtual server and storage platforms.

  • Network design and implementation

LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless and segmentation design, implemented with documented addressing and routing.

  • Structured cabling

Copper and fibre installation to recognised standards, fully labelled, tested and certified on completion.

  • Data centre and comms room builds

Rack layout, power distribution, containment, cooling coordination, environmental monitoring and physical access control.

  • Virtualisation and hyperconvergence

Hypervisor design and deployment with capacity headroom, host redundancy and tested live migration.

  • Backup and disaster recovery

Backup architecture aligned to agreed recovery objectives, with scheduled restore tests that produce evidence.

  • Hardware refresh and migration

Lifecycle replacement and data migration planned around your change windows, with rollback prepared.

  • Monitoring and capacity management

Instrumentation of performance, capacity and environmental metrics, with thresholds tuned to your workloads.

Benefits

What changes for your business

  • Infrastructure sized to real measured load rather than a vendor's default configuration
  • Complete as-built documentation and diagrams that you own outright
  • Resilience you can evidence, because failover and restore are tested rather than assumed
  • Predictable lifecycle planning, so replacements are budgeted instead of forced by failure
  • Clean, labelled, standards-compliant installation that the next engineer can work on safely
  • One accountable partner across hardware, network, virtualisation and the physical environment

Work process

How we deliver it

Each stage produces something you can review, so progress stays visible from the outside.

  1. 01

    Assess

Audit the current estate, measure real utilisation and capture constraints, dependencies and compliance duties.

  2. 02

    Design

Produce a target design with capacity, resilience, power and cooling calculations, plus a bill of materials.

  3. 03

    Procure and stage

Source hardware, pre-configure and burn in off-site to keep on-site time and disruption to a minimum.

  4. 04

    Install and commission

Rack, cable, configure, integrate and test against the design, with results recorded as evidence.

  5. 05

    Document and hand over

Deliver as-built diagrams, configurations, test results and run procedures, then train your team on them.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about infrastructure services. If yours is not here, ask us directly.

Do you supply the hardware as well?

We can procure it, or install equipment you buy directly. Where we procure, the quotation separates hardware cost from our engineering time so the margin is visible.

Can the work be done outside business hours?

Yes. Installations, migrations and cutovers are routinely scheduled for evenings, weekends or agreed maintenance windows.

Which platforms do you work with?

We are vendor-neutral across mainstream server, storage, network and virtualisation platforms, and we will say plainly when a particular product is a poor fit for your requirement.

Do you support the infrastructure after installation?

Yes, either under a support agreement with defined response times or on a call-off basis. Either way you receive the full documentation, so you are not locked in.
